Brixton BID is supporting Lambeth Street Pastors [link] to deliver weekly patrols in the Brixton town centre. Lambeth Street Pastors visit and engage with local businesses, and work with vulnerable patrons in Brixton to ensure their safety by handing out water, slippers, and finding transport if suspected to be unsafe

Friday Night Briefings

Brixton BID works in partnership with Safer Lambeth BCRP and the Metropolitan Police to deliver Friday Night Briefings for our Evening and Night-Time Economy businesses. In these briefings, the BCRP highlights repeat offenders and provide intelligence to security staff across the sector.


Building on the legacy of our former Section-92 additional policing scheme, Brixton BID is investigating the possibility of providing ambassadors in Brixton. The ambassadors would be tasked with assisting businesses with reporting non-emergency crimes, following up on business queries.


Supporting campaigns relevant to Evening and Night-Time Economy, and beyond to ensure that Brixton remains an enjoyable place for businesses, residents, and visitors. Brixton BID is committed to protecting Brixton’s heritage as a safe place to go out filled with live music and culture. We aim to promote all venues with campaigns such as ‘Agent of Change’ [link], #RaiseTheBar [link], ‘Ask for Angela,’ [link] and Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement.
